Penne Carbonara is a classic dish from Italian cuisine, it would have been the favorite dish of the coal burners in the Apennines (the carbonari).

450 g Pästa Penne |
10 slice(s) Smoked bacon, in strips |
Olive Oil |
10 cl Cream |
125 g Parmesan, grated |
Pepper and Salt |
Penne Carbonara Directions
Cook the penne al dente
Meanwhile, fry the bacon in olive oi until crispyl
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks and the cream until smooth.
Add half of the cheese
Stir the penne under the mixture
Add the bacon
Season with salt and pepper (watch out with salt, because the bacon is already salty)
Sprinkle some Parmesan on top
Finish with basil leaves
