Hamburger Peter De Clercq Instructions

  1. Mix the minced beef with the onion, egg and breadcrumbs and make a nice ball. Divide the minced meat into 4 equal parts. Stick a piece of herb butter in each ball. Press the balls of minced meat flat and form them into a nice hamburger.
  2. Put all the ingredients for the sauce in a pot. Mix well until you get a nice tartar sauce. Set aside in a cool place.
  3. Rub the hamburgers with cooking oil and season with barbecue seasoning. Grill them over a moderately hot grill for 5 minutes on each side. Also grill the pancetta briefly.
  4. Rub the halved buns with olive oil and place them on the grill for 30 seconds. Make sure they do not turn black.
  5. Place the bottom of the sandwich on a plate. On top, place a leaf of lettuce, pieces of marinated tomato, a spoonful of tartar sauce, a hamburger, bacon and a slice of cheese. And spoon some more sauce on top.
